Administrative Staff

Erie W. Brown

Executive Director

Mrs. Brown was introduced to Released Time Bible Education through School Ministries, Inc. in 1998 and served as part of the original steering committee to establish Clarendon County, South Carolina’s first released-time Bible class in 1999. Locally known as CCLC, the Clarendon Christian Learning Center grew substantially over the following years under her tenure as Chairman of the Board. In 2007, Mrs. Brown stepped down from the Board to accept the administrative position of the organization. She has served in various leadership positions of women’s ministry both in her home church and at the regional level of her denomination. Mrs. Brown’s work background includes twenty years of banking and twelve years of church assistant administration. A lifetime native of rural South Carolina, she is married to Len. They have three children and nine grandchildren. 

Kim A. DuRant

Program Coordinator

Mrs. Kim DuRant, a graduate of Columbia College, holds a degree in Speech Pathology and a master’s in Educational Administration. She has more than 15 years of experience in Sumter District 17 where she was a speech therapist to elementary students. Mrs. DuRant has more than 25 years’ experience in teaching and leading various youth activities within her church including music, VBS, and Sunday school. She joined CCLC in 2000. Kim is married to Harry DuRant and has two adult children and two grandsons.

Linda Pierce

Administrative Assistant

Mrs. Linda Pierce has more than 15 years’ experience in church administration. She accepted Christ as her Savior in March of 1960.  Acting upon her desire for public school students to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ, she joined CCLC in 2018. Linda is married to Bobby Pierce and together they have 4 adult children and five grandchildren.

Teaching Staff

Jennifer DuRant

Second and Third Grades

Jennifer, a Clemson graduate, is married to lifetime Clarendon County resident Thomas DuRant. They have three children and are actively involved in their church and community.  Jennifer has taught children's Sunday school and VBS for over 30 years.  She has also trained and served in leadership with Bible Study Fellowship.

Sally Knauer

Third-Fifth Grades

Sally Knauer became a follower of Christ during her 8th grade year of middle school.  She has a BA in English/Secondary Education from Bradley University and taught high school English in Kentucky prior to becoming a full time homemaker and homeschooler of her three, now adult, children.  She and her husband Jeff attend Harmony Church, Sumter, where Sally has planned, directed and administrated their VBS program for 15+ years and serves as Children's Ministry Coordinator. 

Kathy N. Daniels

Fourth-Sixth Grades

Kathy grew up in Columbia, SC, and received an Associate Degree in Banking and Finance and Business Management from Midlands Technical College. She is married to Charlie Daniels and they have two children, Trey and Katherine. Kathy is active in her church, New Harmony Presbyterian, teaching Sunday school, singing in the choir, and leading in the women’s ministry.

Frankie Green

Sixth-Eighth Grades

Frankie is a certified teacher in the state of South Carolina.  She obtained her degree from Winthrop College (Bachelor of Science in Special Education and Elementary Education).  She is a lifelong resident of Clarendon County with 26 years of teaching experience in District 3.  Frankie is a member of Turbeville Southern Methodist Church, and has led and participated in various youth ministries from VBS to short-term missions leader.  She is a past president of the Southern Methodist Church Eastern Conference Women's Missionary Society and annually engages in summer missions to Honduras.  She is married to George and they have two adult children.

Kim A. DuRant

Elizabeth Ann Geddings

Assistant, Second and Third Grades

Elizabeth Ann and her husband Tommy Geddings have two children who attend District 2 schools.  She is faithful to serve alongside her family at Clarendon Baptist Church where she enjoys playing the guitar with the praise team and helping with VBS.  Elizabeth Ann formerly worked with younger children in a local preschool program and is excited to expand her skills working with the next age level. 

Lacie Cannon

Assistant, Third-Fifth Grades

Lacie and her husband, Jeremy, have one son and attend Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church.  They own and operate a Clarendon County farm.  Lacie has had 15+ years of experience working with special needs children and children in her church.  She also has had evangelism training. 

Kendra Gibbons

Assistant, Sixth-Twelfth Grades

Kendra is a registered dental hygienist who has currently chosen to focus on family and serving at CCLC.  She is married to Chad and has two children.  They are members of Turbeville Southern Methodist Church.  Kendra received Christ as a teenager during a youth revival.  This experience prompted her desire to help other young people know Christ.
